RTL operates a car terminal at Bronka intermodal sea hub (Saint Petersburg Port) and is the sole service provider for vehicle handling at Novaya Gavan terminal (Ust-Luga Port).

RTL heads for Ashgabat
On 1st April, RTL won the contract for UAZ stock haulage from Ulyanovsk to Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.
We continue to develop, grow our business and expand our geographic coverage!

Export haulage to Manchuria!
Driver Renat Mirdzandzhanovich Salikov shares his experience:
"For me this Ulyanovsk-Manchuria trip was full of exciting new experiences and challenges! First things first, however. On 3rd January, I left Ulyanovsk with EDA in Manchuria on 21st January and departure on 22nd January after unloading.
Everything ran as scheduled until I started crossing the border with China. It took the Chinese border guard service 3 days to process my import documents!
Finally I succeeded and crossed the border on 24th January, the eve of the Chinese New Year and country-wide celebrations.
So I would not have been able to leave until 27th January earliest. Yet, I was in for another challenge - China was hit by COVID-19, so I was quarantined in my hotel!
I am very grateful to RTL CEO Dmitry IgorevichShcherbakov for extra paid leave (10 days) and paid meal and hotel expenses!
I spent these unforgettable 10 days in a comfortable hotel with good catering and service.
Despite the quarantine, I was able to leave the hotel and do some sightseeing in Manchuria. Manchuriais a border town and a hub of trade between Russia and China. Historically, it used to be a tiny poor village which grew into quite a modern town and became both a shopping and vacation destination for inhabitants of Siberia.
After 10 days of my exciting emergency vacation, I was granted clearance, so, happy and content, I headed for home. It was an unforgettable trip for me, due to RTL!»

RTL extends geographic coverage
Headed by Dmitry Igorevich Shcherbakov, RTL extends its geographic coverage of AVTOVAZ/RENAULT/NISSAN Alliance vehicle haulage.
On 1st February 2020, RTL trucks headed for the south!
RTL signed a 3-year contract for regular haulage to the following regions of the Russian Federation: Southern, North-Western, Urals, and Central Federal districts. We wish our colleagues continuing this dynamics and business development!

Export haulage to Mongolia!
At the start of 2020, RTL trucks set off for our first export trip for hauling UAZ stock from Ulyanovsk to Mongolia (Ulan-Bator). The shipment was carried out by 15 trucks which successfully covered the 5650 km one way distance. Straight after the New Year holidays (3-5 January 2020) our trucks in teams of 5 vehicles started their long 11-day trip to Mongolia transiting Povolzhsky, Uralsky, Sibirsky and the Far Eastern Federal districts.
The 320 km leg after crossing the border lay on unpaved roads with no maintenance facilities, guarded parkings, tire shops, campings or diners. Since the roads were unpaved (mostly, they were built of rock), they drove across Mongolia only in daytime at a maximum speed of 30 km/hour.
Freight traffic is prohibited in Ulan Bator in day hours, so we had to enter the city at night for unloading.
All our trucks safely reached the destination, consigned the cars to the customer and returned to Togliatti.

Race of Champions 2020
AVTOVAZ Logistics Office invited RTL to attend Race of Champions 2020, the key event of winter racing season.
On 19 January 2020, Russia's new winter racing season opened in Togliattiarea. The 23rd Race of Champions was took place on AVTOVAZ racing course among 16 top Russian racers featuring champions, winners of various series and national Cups of Russia in various racing sports.
The team of RTL was able to follow the races of LADA Sport ROSNEFT crew directly and even talk to the pilots and take their pictures.
The Race of of Champions has been held in Togliatti area since 1996. This year it was dedicated to a remarkable event - the 50th anniversary of the legendary Kopeyka model, an icon car model of the Soviet era and dream of every Soviet citizen!
Special racing versions of LADA Vesta participated in the race. Each of them features a 170 hp atmospheric engine, a dogbox and an enhanced suspension system. The wheels are fitted with 4.5 mm stud Pirelli tires.

RTL fleet gets new MAN trailers
20.11.2019 9 new MAN trailers arrived from Moscow to Togliatti to join our fleet. This is the first lot of MAN trailers, 26 more to arrive early next year. According to Vladimir Gorlanov, RTL CEO for business development, their existing fleet features 150 trailers, including Renault, Volvo, Mercedez and MAN brands. While sharing general information on expansion, RTL business development CEO acknowledged: "The market is growing, and our existing fleet is no longer enough. RTL is enhancing its capacities through investment into new vehicles. Actually, not all market players can afford it. For example, while in 2012 a truck-trailer combination cost five million rubles, today just a truck will cost you over six million rubles". In total, RTL is considering acquisition of over 80 new vehicles in 2019-2020.

TOYOTA AND LEXUS HAULING QUALITY AND SAFETY WORKSHOP
On 16.04.2019 the 6th annual Toyota and Lexus hauling quality and safety workshop was held at Toyota Motor headquarters in Moscow.
Key staff of RTL and CEO D.I. Shcherbakov attended this workshop on behalf of one of the existing haulage providers for Toyota and Lexus cars. The purpose of this event consists in sharing experience among logistics partners for enhancing quality and safety in haulage of TOYOTA cars.
The workshop started with an overview of 2018 performance and discussion of efforts taken to prevent car stock damage during shipment.
The attendees took part in interactive discussion of practical issues. Among the speakers was RTL road safety engineer Anatoly Skobelkin, who touched upon accident prevention, one of the most critical issues.

NEW DESTINATION - EXPORT HAULAGE OF UAZ STOCK FROM ULYANOVSK TO CHINA
RTL, guided by Dmitry Igorevich Shcherbakov, prepares its first export haulage of UAZ stock from Ulyanovsk to China (Manchuria). 5 trailers of RTL will cover 6 200 km one way during this trip. On 12 March 2019, our trailers set off for their long trip to China along their silk road transiting Povolzhsky, Uralsky, Sibirsky and the Far Eastern Federal districts in 13 days on the way to their destination in Manchuria, China.

RENAULT-NISSAN-AVTOVAZ EVENT FOR RENAULT-NISSAN-AVTOVAZ ALLIANCE OUTBOUND LOGISTICS SUPPLY CHAIN
On 20 February 2019, RTL top management headed by Dmitry IgorevichShcherbakov attended RENAULT-NISSSAN-AVTOVAZ event for RENAULT-NISSAN-AVTOVAZ alliance outbound logistics supply chain held in Togliatti. The conference was dedicated to discussion of business operations, quality and performance issues. During workshop forwarding service providers presented innovative solutions, best practices, new purchasing KPI and 2019 forecasts.
Japanese product and process cost optimization approaches (Monozukuri) were discussed among all related divisions of car makers and their supply chains.
During the conference award ceremony RTL represented by Dmitry IgorevichShcherbakov was awarded "2018 Best Supplier. Flexibility. Lada Brand" certificate for excellent flexibility and business management in the changing production and distribution environment.

RTL FLEET ENHANCED WITH NEW RENAULT TRUCKS
Several days ago two new Renault trucks set off for Togliatti from Moscow to join our truck fleet. This is the first step in our scaled fleet enhancement.
According to Vladimir Gorlanov, RTL CEO for business development, their existing fleet features 150 trailers, including Renault, Volvo and Mercedes. The Renault trucks are our veterans and have been in service since 2008. Currently we are overhauling them, so that we can continue to use them for several years.
Soon they will be assisted by new Renault T trucks with 13 l engines. "Currently this is the best price-quality offer in the market", -- says Vladimir Gorlanov.
While describing overall capacity enhancement efforts, RTL business development CEO pointed out: "The market is growing, and our existing fleet is no longer enough. RTL is enhancing its capacities through investment into new vehicles. Actually, not all market players can afford it. For example, while in 2012 a truck-trailer combination cost five million rubles, today just a truck will cost you over six million rubles.
In total, RTL is considering acquisition of over 80 new vehicles in 2018-2019. Currently the company's top management is considering refocus on Renault.

10TH ANNIVERSARY IN HAULAGE!
Today we celebrate the 10th anniversary of our haulage operations!
History brief:
2008 – RTL AVTO enhances its fleet with new RENAULT trucks that are still serving our haulage operations.
2011– RTL AVTO adds new VOLVO trucks and fully replaces its trailer park with ROLFO BLIZZARD models.
11.11.2011 - official opening of Novaya Gavan terminal.
09.03.2012 – RTL receives the first CITY OF BARCELONA ferry with 687 Nissan cars at Novaya Gavan terminal.
In 2012, RTL AVTO enhances its fleet with Mercedez Benz trucks. RTL corporate fleet achieves 230 units.

10 YEARS AGO RTL RECEIVED ITS FIRST CAR STOCK FERRY!
Exactly 10 years ago, on 20 December 2006, RTL received its first Nissan car stock ferry!
In 2006, RTL in partnership with Sea Fish Port launched the first sea terminal for vehicle shipment to Russia via Saint Petersburg. 5 years later, RTL launched its own Novaya Gavan sea terminal at Ust-Luga sea port.
What makes this story distinguishing, is the fact that prior to car stock ferry operations RTL had never been involved in any stevedoring or ferry operations. This means that the company was able to set up Russia's first dedicated terminal in Saint Petersburg and build from scratch its own terminal for vehicle handling at Ust-Luga sea port, based primarily on customer expectations.

We are happy to share excellent news with you!
Being committed to expanding our operations, we are getting ready to launch container delivery using our own fleet effective January!
For this task we have bought two container trailers that fit virtually any container size (from 24 ft to 45 ft). Early next year we intend to add 3 more trailers to our fleet.
This tool will increase our flexibility and help us arrange autonomous freight delivery.
